Our friends at Essex Corinthian Yacht Club in Essex, Connecticut are hosting the Cross Sound Challenge (XSC) Regatta on Saturday, September 23rd. In its tenth year, the XSC is an ECSA sanctioned points race and offers crews a unique racing experience sailing cross current from the mouth of the Connecticut River to the vicinity of Truman Beach on the north shore of Long Island and back.  The course length is approximately 15 miles.
