Sails Up 4 Cancer Skipper’s Party: Cornhole, BBQ, Live Music

Organizers of the Sails Up 4 Cancer Regatta will hand out the Sailing Instructions, conducti a Q&A with the Race Committee, then it’s time to party! Festivities include a cornhole tournament presented by Coastal Connecticut Cornhole, live music by Wooly Mammoth, and eats from Dogwatch Mystic Barbecue.

Sails Up 4 Cancer Regatta

Open to serious racers vying for ECSA points as well as weekend cruisers and family crews, this fun regatta supports a great cause. Racing begins in Fishers Island Sound in the vicinity of Seaflower Reef at 12pm. Registration is $50 per yacht and includes two tickets to the shore party at Mystic Shipyard. Prizes will be awarded to top three finishers in each class. Register at YachtScoring.com.

52nd Annual Edward S. Dole Memorial Stratford Shoal Race

Hosted by Lloyd Harbor Yacht Club and honoring the memory of a very enthusiastic sailor who co-founded the Yacht Racing Association of Long Island Sound, this race supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation Suffolk County Chapter’s mission of granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

48th Annual Save the Bay Swim for Narragansett Bay

With 500 swimmers and nearly 200 paddlers making the journey from the Newport Navy Base to Potter Cove in Jamestown, this event supports Save the Bay’s mission to protect and restore the Narragansett Bay region.
