Our friends at Stonington Harbor Yacht Club in Stonington, Connecticut will host a Safety Demonstration on Sunday, May 1 at 1:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public, participants are asked to register by calling 860-495-0114. As the summer boating season approaches, it is important to understand and know how to use a variety of safety devices on the water. Participants will meet on the dinghy dock at Stonington Harbor Yacht Club, 32 Water Street, Stonington for an informative hour-long session. The program will include an inflatable life vest inspection (bring your inflatable life vest), an in-water demonstration of life raft usage, and a discussion of how and when to use them. There will also be a short demonstration of the correct throwing of lines when approaching a docking situation.
