With a 140-mile course from Old Saybrook Light to Gay Head and back, this is a serious tune-up race and great distance for double- and short-handed crews. Honoring the memory of Essex Yacht Club Past Commodore Tom Willets, Jr. and open to boats 30’ or smaller, this first event in the TriClub River Series event is co-sponsored by Essex Yacht Club, Pettipaug Yacht Club and Essex Corinthian Yacht Club in Essex, Connecticut.

  With a course of approximately 140 nautical miles Essex Yacht Club’s spring classic offers legitimate ocean challenges in an overnight race. Register at YachtScoring.com.

With a course of approximately 140 nm, this overnight race is open to ORC, PHRF and NEMA classes with doublehanded classes if possible. A Wetherill Club Trophy will be given to the yacht club with the best combined performance. Skippers who introduce a new boat to The Wetherill will get a refund of 40% of the entry fee.
