United States Power Squadron Sail Course
Presented by America’s Boating Club of Greenwich on seven consecutive Tuesday evenings, this course starts with basic boat designs, rigging & sail types, then explains the forces that make a sailboat sail and the physics of sailing. Other chapters cover in-depth techniques including rig tuning, sailing upwind & downwind, helmsmanship, spinnaker handling, heavy seas sailing & storms, docking, anchoring, mooring, knots & navigation. An optional section on racing is available.

Marine Navigation Course
