New York Yacht Club’s Harbour Court

This is the oldest continually run regatta in the USA, and it’s open to yachts with a minimum LOA of 25 feet in IRC, One-Design, Cruiser-Racer, Double-Handed, Classic and Multihull divisions.

This event for one-design keelboats is open to Etchells, J/70s, Melges 20s, Melges 24s and IC37s.

To celebrate the 175th anniversary of its founding in 1844, the New York Yacht Club will host this week-long regatta at its Harbour Court clubhouse in Newport, Rhode Island. Participation is limited to members of the New York Yacht Club and the four invited yacht clubs (Royal Thames Yacht Club, Royal Yacht Squadron, St. Francis Yacht Club and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda) and the U.S. service academies entering yachts with an LOA of 30 feet or greater…

This New York Yacht Club regatta has one Spinnaker class for IRC yachts with a rating of 1.07 or faster. The Queen's Cup has a unique starting system in that each yacht may start within a 2-minute window of the starting gun and their actual elapsed time will be used to calculate their corrected time. All helmspersons must have a current Group 1 sailor classification.
