As of September 1, 2024, Massey Yacht Sales & Service of Palmetto, Florida and Springline Yacht Sales of Mystic, Connecticut have merged their two, well-respected and long-standing businesses. The merge was made to, not only, more than double the size of their operations, but to offer a top-tier sales process to a wider range of clientele in both the Northeast and Southeast regions. Rick Dieterich is the General Manager of all Massey Yacht Sales & Service operations in both locations and Ed Massey remains President of the new larger company. For transitional marketing purposes, the Mystic location is known as Massey Yacht Sales at Springline.

The merger will greatly strengthen new boat sales for Catalina, Tartan, and Elan Yachts as well as expand the brokerage operations at both brick-and-mortar locations as well as the Massey mobile yacht brokerage team.

Sharon Day, President of Catalina Yachts commented “Two of our best dealers joining forces will prove to be nothing short of great success for both of them and Catalina Yachts. The union reflects an unwavering commitment to expanding their presence in key markets and ensuring customers have access to the highest quality sales and service.”

Ed Massey said “It just made sense. We had nearly identical business operations, processes, values, and highly regarded reputations. With the consolidation of marketing and overhead expenses, growing a strong, professional, unified sales team and turning over sales and general management to a proven, younger manager, I can focus on the marketing and pull back a bit from day-to-day operations.”

Both Rick Dieterich and Ed Massey will work the new boat displays at the Newport, Annapolis, St Petersburg, and Miami shows. For more information contact:
